Christening set for ship named in honor of diver

UNION-TRIBUNE

7:10 a.m. September 16, 2008

SAN DIEGO: General Dynamics NASSCO will launch the latest in the Navy's line of cargo supply ships Thursday at the company's shipyard at Harbor Drive and 28th Street.

The Carl Brashear will be christened at 10 a.m. in a public ceremony.

I've seen "Men of Honor", it's a pretty good movie :)

Yeah, that's what made it really great.
Took some liberties with actual events, but I really dont care, it was a movie, not a documentary.

Brashear is one tough guy, movie or no movie. 8-)
