Bear Attacks Colorado Man Inside His Home

ASPEN, Colo. — A man was attacked by a large black bear in his Aspen home in the latest in a string of violent encounters with the animals this summer in the mountain community.

Colorado Division of Wildlife spokesman Randy Hampton said the man had gone to the first floor of his home to check on his three barking dogs when the bear struck him in the head.

I work in Aspen. It's getting out of control. The bears are ripping doors apart to get inside. It used to be that they just used an open door or window. I've seen two in the last three days were I'm working now, and the local radio stations are running ads about the "80 to 120" bears around town and how to avoid them.

It's nuts. I've talked to people who are having bear problems but won't call the DOW because they are afraid that harm will come to the bear.

A couple of weeks ago another woman was hurt by a bear in her kitchen, requiring a trip to the hospital, but the DOW didn't feel that it could called an attack. WTF?

PC B.S. on both sides.

Yes yes the transferred bears finally took hold , this is a population control experiment taken on by several pissed off Alaskans. Easy to remedy just shoot them, but the politically correct will get eaten o well

This is why doors should open to the outside.

Funny. I thought that was for the elephants. Of course, we don't have bears here.

We have no elephants here either. Now you know why.
