Can we vote for him for Congress?

Yep, he rocked! Knowledgeble, articulate. I wish I were confident enough to speak out so well in front of a crowd.

I get the impression he was speaking to one of her aides, and NOT to the Senator (since he speaks about her in the third person). In any case, he would no doubt do a MUCH better job in Washington than that stupid twit he's talking about now.

I'd take 50 people like him and replace any 50 randomly drawn congresscriters to replace.

I'm beginning to think we should just do an annual lottery instead of elections. Your number is called, you serve, just like jury duty.

Methinks the political class wonks are actually afraid of intelligent articulant soldiers who have come back from combat.......

The "ruling class" said they wanted "smarter and better trained soldiers"(their words), who are more efficient and can make "on the spot" decisions.
The problem with that is that such soldiers are..........smarter. They may read, research, and not just blindly obey orders.
It is truly a double edged sword for politicians.

I'd like to buy that soldier a beer. Or any other drink he likes.

Dunno - this event was supposedly a "town hall" she hosted for her constituents.

Military guy - low rank - accustomed to speaking that way, as in "Sir, The Recruit/private would..." or "Would the Captain like..."

Some of his comments also referred to previous speakers - I'd like to see the video of the whole event... Other snippet(s) on you-tube labeled "Senator (name) holds a town-hall and a tea-party breaks out..."

THIS is why they're rushing their agenda - lots of this happening lately. CLEARLY the sentiments of the public are not especially friendly...

I would love to read some internal memorandum. Do you think the ruling elite is nervous?
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.
