Suggestion for a good leather tool

I think someone suggested a good leather working sewing tool on here -- I've been thinking that it may be easier to just modify a normal woman's purse than to find one that is actually made to appeal to a woman.

Thinking about picking one up at a thrift shop to mess w. at least...
