Around the Water Cooler
By Rich Grassi

(Paulden AZ) - I'm at Gunsite Academy. The Ruger LCR is here - there are three samples. You know I'll shoot at least one of them.

One of the Lightweight Compact Revolvers has been fitted with a prototype XS Sights Big Dot front sight. While it's a prototype now, I'm certain that the XS Big Dot built especially for this easy to shoot, lightweight .38 Special +P will be available to be fitted to existing LCRs. I would not be surprised to eventually see Ruger offer the LCR with Big Dot front sight.

I'm not a fan of carrying smaller guns when bigger guns can be had - except in a backup role - but a pair of LCRs with XS Big Dots would be my idea of a handy self defense setup.

The people at XS Sights are working to get the sights to you but it may be awhile. They'll be worth the wait.
There is a certain type of mentality that thinks if you make certain inanimate objects illegal their criminal misuse will disappear!

Damn the TSA and Down with the BATF(u)E!
