I had one. I regret selling it. I probably would have kept it if some doofus who owned it before me hadn't electro-pencilled his SSN on the slide. The rest of the pistol was about 95% finish.
I don't know what he did that. Every part was serial numbered, so it's not like it didn't have enough numbers. I do mean every part. The slide stop, the hammer, the firing pin, the sear, etc.
The finish on the parts was not as good as a Colt of that era. Every part was a little rough, but every part looked like it was hand fitted and polished on the connecting surfaces (hence the need for every part being serial numbered).
Forget registering guns, they should register electro pencils and dremel tools. Those need to be kept out the hands of idiots.
