Star Trek: Into Darkness 3rd (Final?) Trailer

Post by Darrell »

Fascinating, to coin a phrase:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ec_rPApKCA

I ran across this over at reddit a few days ago, the r/trekkies were beside themselves. Watch the trailer, you may get a surprise... and the redditors were rife with speculation on who the bad guy is...

If you don't get a good look in the trailer, here's a better view:

I've been searching and reading around about the new movie some more... here's the film's site:

http://www.startrekmovie.com/

Might be a better quality vid there. And, those are Klingons shown at 1:30 or so! :P

Oh yeah, IMAX for this one.

Yup, this and Iron Bloke 3. Anything else worth seeing this year will be a bonus, but I'm not hopeful.

I just don't get Star Trek. Never have, never will. Or Star Wars for that matter.

My wife and I are both looking forward to it. This is one of those movies which is BEST watched on the LARGE screen with a huge sound system (and perhaps even a little vice indulgence prior to watching it - YMMV).

We've watched the previous NEW Star Wars movie at home and wished we'd seen it on the BIG screen. We won't make the same mistake THIS TIME. ;) ;)

I think I've mentioned before that I broke a self-imposed exile of nearly 20 years from movie theaters to see the first new Trek film when it came out a few years ago. I almost wished I hadn't--I thought the movie silly and not respectful of the original canon, as they say. And don't give me any of that alternate timeline BS. :P I've since seen it on the small screen several times, I guess I'm used to it. I am looking forward to this one. :geek:

I've heard some good things about Oblivion, and that it has a twist in the story..
