FINALLY! After waiting since early April for a back ordered MGW Glock rear gun sight tool, Botach Tactical tells me "Oh, we canceled that order". Well, it would have been nice if they could have extended the professional courtesy (there is that ugly work again!) and tell me about canceling my order.
After that fiasco, I ordered it from Midwayusa on sale for $89.99 along with a B & J Machine Glock Front Sight Combination Tool. The MGW rear sight tool is not only a work of art, it is BEEFY. The B&J Machine combo tool appears to be of very good quality and workmanship but I have read some reviews that the does not fit the front sight nut properly.
I am getting ready to install a set of Trijicon GL104Y: Glock HD Night Sight Set - Yellow Front Outline on the Glock 20. The installation looks like a fairly straight forward job. Has anyone done this installation before? If so, I would appreciate any practical experience tips & suggestions before I get started.
The standard Glock sights are adequate but nothing to get excited about.

It's pretty straight forward. Red loctite on the threads of the front sight screw, tends to tilt sometimes so you might have to angle it slightly when you tighten it down so that it ends up straight.
[strike]If you have a mill/drill or a drill press with a vise, it's much easier to install the rear sight. Otherwise you'll have to put a file in a padded vise or clamp a file to the bench and grind the bottom of the rear sight little by little until it wil just barely push midway in. Then just use a bit of lubricating grease and lightly tap it in with a hammer & plastic punch.
Never smack on it with a steel punch and/or hammer, you'll break the vials. Can and has happened with a brass punch. Much better with a press or if you're rolling in the dough, someone sells a jig.[/strike] Or I could read the damn title...
Oh, and left to right coming out, so right to left going in. Can't remember if the Glock has a slight taper in the dovetail(most dovetails do), but better safe than sorry.
Botach Tactical is well known for issues like that. Ordering from them is a craps shoot. Some people, such as CC I think, have ordered from them several times with no problems while others have has issues with being charged for items that were never shipped, having the wrong item shipped, and horrible customer service. I suppose you have to cut corners somewhere to have prices that low.
