Stewart's pride over knighthood

Patrick Stewart said he was "very proud" to be awarded a knighthood in the New Year Honours List.
The honour - for services to drama - follows the X-Men star's return to the British stage after many years living in LA.
The 69-year-old - who recently finished a run of Samuel Beckett's Waiting For Godot - said: "I am very proud to receive this honour, the theatre is and has always been my great joy."
He continued: "In particular the past six years have given me acting opportunities that at one time I could not have imagined possible. This is an honour that embraces those actors, directors and creative teams who have in these recent years helped fill my life with inspiration, companionship and sheer fun."
The Queen is reported to be a fan of the star, who has enjoyed a 50-year career in movies, TV and the theatre including 16 years with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The actor won a scholarship for the Bristol Old Vic theatre school at 17. In his mid-20s, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company.
He also landed roles in TV dramas such as I, Claudius, Smiley's People, and Fall Of Eagles.
The Shakespearean actor shot to fame as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987. On the big screen, Stewart's biggest role has been as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men blockbusters.
He returned to Britain and the theatre in 2003 after living in LA for 17 years.

He's a barking moonbat I'm afraid, and has joined a long list of people who were honoured in some way after making large donations ( $200k in his case I read ) to the ruling ZanuLabour party.
It's the government who pick the recipients, not the Queen - unfortunately.
