Wow, I hadn't heard of any grizzly sightings that far north. I'd wonder if a grizz up there didn't come down from farther north. There's not much up in that part of the state. Were you doing oil or natural gas work up there?
Yup, was supporting Chevron's Piceance Creek natural gas project. ;)

EDIT: I was just talking to a buddy about bears in Colorado, and he said himself and a fellow employee had saw a grizz south of Parachute up in those mountains as well... soooo...

Fascinating. Earlier grizz reports focused on the southern mountains, in the San Juans above New Mexico. There have since been sightings farther north, more toward the central Rockies...

NW Colorado is one part of the state I haven't been to. I'd like to go up there and see the Gates of Lodore on the Green River where it jogs into Colorado; I'd also like to see the Dinosaur area.
