Wait--we're not talking about the series with Superman and Spiderman from the early 70's?
In those days "older than expected male viewers" referred to the older brothers of the sixth graders watching the shows.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

The worst part of the current "Dark Knight" movies is that Batman doesn't sound like Batman (Kevin Conroy).

Oh and if you want to complain about anti-gun propaganda and Batman, the second movie's got it. It's subtle but it's definitely there.

Is there any truth behind the rumor that Mark Hamill is trying to distance himself from the B:TAS franchise?

Probably just due to being sick of it.

Now, the Guyver movie... THAT is something from which Hammill should run like hell.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

No, he loved being the voice of the Joker. If Batman: The Killing Joke is ever made into an animated movie, he has stated he would come back a do the Joker's voice for it.
