You can actually use one of these little pumps to vacuum seal mason jars if you have no power to run the food-saver attachment. Or if your afraid the zombies might hear the food-saver.

I know where to easily find ones that fit standard faucet threads, unfortunately they produce very little vacuum. They're OK for moving liquid, but doubt you'd get enough suction to seal a jar. Anyone with a water bed probably has the drainage attachment laying around somewhere.

I made it half way through the show last night before I had to turn it off, the stupid was just too much.
