I know at one point, even Harbor Freight was selling Franklin Stoves, but not online - they were either catalog or in-store items. It was the same one that was in my old house (that the Ex got).

HTRN, that's almost the exact kit but mine came with 28" legs for the bottom barrel and the brackets between the barrels are much higher as it requires a piece of stove pipe to connect them...The door is almost exactly like the deluxe...It's amazing how much heat they can generate...the bottom is lines in fire brick but there isn't any grate...

Appalachian makes some excellent stoves, both inserts and free standing. My fireplace insert is an Appalachian, and I'm quite happy with it.

If you look in "accessories" on their website, you'll see they sell cast iron grates.

The nice thing about them, is you can put long logs into them, instead of the typical 18-24" split wood.
