I'm going to assume your "Inform the Ignorant" post was NOT directed at me, but was merely an information/education post for the few folks on the forum that haven't joined the NRA yetmekender wrote:bottom line, the NRA is the biggest advocate for gun rights on the block... they have the most money and the largest recognition... they are also an open organization where anyone can have their voice heard and even move into the higher ranks to get stuff done...
you dont like what they are doing, join them, guide them, and change things to help in the way you see fit.

If you haven't already, you might also consider joining your state rifle association - most states have one - and doing a little grass-roots advocacy. There are also some very good organizations working to "fill in the cracks" left by the NRA - I can recommend the Second Amendment Foundation, for one.
