Keep in mind, all K-22s are M-17s, but not all M-17s are K-22 "Masterpieces". The Masterpiece was redesignated the M-17 in 1957 when S&W went to a standardized numbering system.

Going rate for a decent one is above $500.

Another Option is a Smith 617 - Stainless 10 shot, available with either a 6" or 4" barrel. Suggested Retail is $860 I'm not fond of the idea of 10 shot cylinder, as it increases variation quite a bit over a 6 shot cylinder.
