So I shot it with the Super Sabra trigger. Holy cow. Amazing. I was in a sitting position and hitting a 350yd target pretty handily with just a red dot, though I made up a dope card with the drop of the round, and I estimated the range with an ACOG on another rifle.
while I don't know if this will ever replace an AR for me, I think that it's a great companion piece. I believe that this will become my "traveling" rifle, as it's NFA short, without the necessary paperwork, so you can fit it into a discreet case, and in the event that you need to handle it inside of a vehicle, it is probably the best rifle around for that. Spare parts are available, and there's a little internal storage on the rifle, so you can include a bottle of CLP and some bits of cloth to wipe stuff down. Put a magazine carrier or two with an admin pouch (for spares/rest of cleaning kit) in your discreet bag with a few magazines, and you'll be better prepared for violence than 99.9% of the country.
I haven't cleaned it except for the day that I got it, but I did experience a failure to lock the bolt back on the last round of a magazine.
I still need to work on hitting the bolt release while I'm inserting a magazine. The grip that I use on a mag in an AR-15 puts my thumb ready to hit the release, so I need to train myself out of that for the Tavor.

Thanks for the report. I'm still on the fence as to whether I should buy one or not. I coon fingered one at the local MoD and it just felt weird... so small compared to my ARs. Maybe I'll wait and see if they come down in price...

I just picked up the X-95 one of these.
The trigger is impressive, the ergonomics are great, but the bolt release is a little odd.
If you're used to the ergonomic of an AR-15, this will seem really familiar. As in magazine release and safety are in the same place familiar.

Saw one today at the local MoD for northwards of $2,200.
Can't do it.

Was it one of the ones with the Meprolight sight on it already?

If it did, it wasn't obvious. I didn't even ask them to get it off the wall to inspect.

If it had the Meprolight reflex sight on it, it would be obvious.
