Actually, I have a Ruger Vaquero (Old Model) Stainless, 4 5/8 bbl, birdshead grip in the master bathroom linen closet. It's loaded with 300 gr. WFN bullets over XX.X gr. H110.
Ideal? No. Viable defensive weapon, until I can get to the shotgun or something better?
Betcher ass!

This is my plan. In the morning, I get all my pocket and belt attachments and my new clothes and head to the shower. That includes my Glock. Pretty much any other time, I already have the Glock on me and disrobe / remove it to shower.Netpackrat wrote:I don't see the point of a dedicated bathroom gun; I just set whatever my carry piece happens to be at the moment in reach of the shower. I haven't noted any rust problems yet.
It gets put on the top of the throne and there you go.
If it ever gets to the point I need it closer / more ready then that, I will have the wife sit watch. Then we will rotate.

Taurus 24/7 in .45 and a spare magazine behind the 1st aid kit in one of the bathroom counter drawers. I clean it about once a month, and haven't seen any rust issues. And before the Taurus hate gets rolling, I bought it used from a friend, and I know that this one is reliable with the Gold Dot flying ashtrays it's loaded with.
Also, a Dan Wesson Model 14 in the kitchen cabinet with the pots & pans. And the snubnosed S&W Model 15 in a cigar box in the living room. And... well, you get the idea...

That FAL looks suspiciously like a CETME. Or, do I need to go read the ARFCOM thread to get it?Darrell wrote:The infamous arfcom thread?

I think you're right - I could have sworn it was an FN FAL from memory, but after looking at the picture, I think it is a CETME.
