I'd think if you mixed the cornstarch with gelatin, you would isolate the particles and prevent them from behaving in a non-newtonian manner.

What if you just mixed cornstarch and water and put it in a collapsible 5-gallon water jug and shot it to see what happened and got tired of run-on sentences before you got to the end and... er...
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Well, if you add sugar, the Jello is strawberry, and you mix it cold then bring to a low boil on the stove, you have the gel base for strawberry refrigerator pie.
