Gloves and Shooting

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

The only glove I've ever worn for cause was for high-power rifle with sling, where the sling is so tight across your supporting hand that it hurts. Gloves with handguns always seem to get in the way of a proper hold for me once I get proper stocks. I have a set of Pact gloves from when I was trying, and for occasional use with a new handgun till I get it 'right'.

The Colt 1917 and S&W Victory with original military stocks were painful without gloves, but a set of replacement oversize smoothies on the 1917 and Magnas on the Victory make them a pleasure to shoot with no gloves.

They aren't a bad fit, but I'd try them in person.
I have found that most gloves, at least for me have odd sized fingers to the palm size.

However I will say that all the Blackhawk products I have tried, I get to be the "outland tester" for the local cop-shop, have been quite excellent products.

I have to find a place locally that carries them to try them on, but I appreciate all the feedback.

Thanks!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
