... Anyone besides me have female friends who were decidedly anti Obama till Palin showed up? I have now had two of them start talking mad bad words about her when before they were saying bad things about Obama.

Nah, they're all pretty much the same as before. The Palin choice just reinforced both sides' views of who should be President.

My "problem" is a bit different. Two female friends, both Democrats who would dearly LOVE to vote for a woman for President, [strike]don't[/strike] didn't see Hillary as the right woman. Neither will vote for McCain or for The Changeling. Both have decided to just write-in someone not on the ticket. So far I haven't been able to convince either to vote for McCain so Obambi doesn't win by "default".

I may have pulled on over to McCain (oh how that hurts the soul). But that was because she is a hawk in the first place and I pointed out that a particular diatribe of hers was SOOOO not Obama.

Even the moderates here in Texas seem to like her.

The better half was swung over to McCain by Palin's convention speech.......and then I let on that Sara's pretty hot, "you know, in that kinky librarian way", and the whole I heart Caribou Barbie thing ruined it....The CFO is firmly back in the Obama camp.

Palin is a straight shooter and waded in to the good old boy crooked politics swinging , the current charges are partisan politics at their worst. She has had a consistent and clear message and policies since she has been in politics. A consistent RTKBA supporter , less government and straight answers, and she is often maligned and scares the hell out the entrenched political machines.
Which is why my liberal friends hate her and my libertarian and conservative friends love her.

Zero: I was going to say it earlier and you're right. It's the estrogen induced rage some women go into when a threat to ones womanly self walks into the room. It's the "she's a bitch" factor. Nothing more, nothing less.

Several, particularly former Clinton enthusiasts, including former state GOP volunteers.

Many view a very attractive, successful, and intelligent woman as a threat, even though it makes no sense. Hitlery wasn't much of a threat because she turned so many people off, and some women actually felt sorry for her and her cheating Presidential husband.
