Most of us would rather DIY but I'm glad to see them offering this. It's an interesting list to read through and look at kit content. Hopefully there's enough demand that other's get into it driving variety & value up and costs down.

Talk about sticker shock. I've been working on mine by doing 10-20 cans a month, of different food stuffs. Wheat, rice, oats, macaroni, beans, etc.

I already use Costco for backup food stuffs.. Canned Tuna, canned chicken and canned veggies.. Not the most tasty of stuff, but it will keep my family alive for a month until supply lines would hopefully open back up. No need to add water and I cycle the food during regular usage.

They've been sued - there's not enough food in the bucket to cover 1/5 of the needed nutrients.

Help me out here. On the Costco emergency food bucket, I can't find anywhere, on the label or in the description, that says 90 day food supply for one person. Nor does it say "275 'Meals'".
It says "275 servings".
Now I don't know about y'all, but when I sit down to eat, I eat a "serving" of spaghetti, a "serving" of green beans, a "serving" of salad and a "serving" of bread.
During an emergency I would ration my food and eat what seems reasonable for the circumstance.
If, as the disgruntled lawyer claims, each serving provides 455 calories, I would simply eat 3-4 "servings".
I'm having a hard time figuring out how Costco is deceiving anyone.
