Sadly, with having to rebuild my car's engine, I don't have the funds for... well, much of anything. Like that's ever prevented a wish list:

1) Uberti Open Top .38 with a 7 1/2" bbl. I just like the looks of the old open top Colts.

2) CZ 527 FS in .223 Which, I've wanted for years.

3) And for somthing really out of my price range: a Browning Cynergy 12 gauge shotgun. I'm sadly without a scattergun, and would really like a double. But, again, no money.

Oh, don't get me started.

I want a S&W Model 29. Preferably a 29-2 with a 6.5 inch barrel - the classic Dirty Harry gun.

I want an Olympic Rapid Fire pistol that meets the current rules, my Walther OSP having been overtaken by the switch to .22LR. Never liked the Walther anyway. Not sure about going with a Pardini or rolling the dice on a Match Guns MG2.

I want a Clark Longslide .45

I'm in the market for cased percussion Colt revolvers, principally as an investment.

And, of course, for percussion duelling/target pistols. But that's a given.

But above all, I want a cased set of flintlock duelling pistols. Gorgeous.

I just had $6000 stolen. Long depressing story, don't ask.

So my wish list is on deep back burner status, BUT

I really want an AK - 47 with a pedigree. Sorta like mil surplus (alas I know, no full autos)

I want a .357 revolver (not surew which) with a 6" barrel and a "matching" lever gun cause that is just cool and very deadly either way. Not to mention being able to call your revolver a spare "clip" for your rifle.

a .22lr DA revolver for teaching purposes with new shooters.

I also want a 25-06 or something else if a relatively light caliber that will go FAR for some varmint hunting a buddy of mine wants to take me on.

As I mentioned deep back burner, so I haven't gotten into specifics on brand, and all that. Just too much to drool with absolutely NO ability (sanely) to buy. Maybe I'll just buy another MN 91/30 to replace the one I gifted my buddy.

Wishlists, eh?

Oh, I got wishlists...

For the AR, a 20" 6.8 upper, .458 upper (keeps RRA in even more business), both chrome-lined because I'm lazy and don't like to get "clean enough" with 15+ minutes of cleaning the barrel. Also, I'd like an AR-15 upper in .30 Carbine. Why? It's so I can compare it with my correct-grade National Postal Meter M-1 Carbine that I'd also like to have.

As wall art goes, I'd like a Pancor Jackhammer. God knows I wouldn't shoot it but maybe 4 or 5 times, and maybe let some friends shoot it so they can realize why their old Twilight 2000 characters shouldn't have been carrying them in Poland. It'll go great right next to my gold and tiger-striped Desert Eagle. Some people have Roy Lichtenstein art on their walls, some have Warhol, I'll have silly-looking guns.

Next up will be a nice S&W Model 27. I want to love the 327 and its eight-shooter glory as it's a great step up to keep pace with heavier-caliber autos. It just doesn't match up as nice as a Model 27 will with my Puma 92. Ah, hell, I'll get both. It's only money. the only reason why I won't have a Colt Python on the list is because CC has probably bought them all by now.

Autos? Did I mention autos? Springfield's custom shop came up with a 1911 that they're calling the Chameleon or somesuch odd name. A barrel swap and a quick extractor adjustment is all it takes to shoot all the rimless calibers you'll find regularly in an IPSC match. Much like my "ARs are like Transformers for grown-ups" philosophy, I find the idea of shooting multiple calibers out of the same handgun to be totally freakin' sweet. It's a good thing that I also like the idea of a gun caddy as well (a long story inspired by an NPR piece on the role of the caddy in professional golf, of all things) because I'll probably need one to carry all the ammunition and spare bits needed for caliber changes. I'd also like a C75 ST, the model with adjustable sights. I think that would be a good gun for playing with hot-loaded .40 S&W.

Finally, I know that we suck and they hate us, but I also want an early-model Heckler & Koch P7. It was the first semi-auto I'd ever seen up close and I've wanted one ever since. Even if it is "only" in 9mm.

You do realize passing on Nickel Pythons, esp. if cheap, w.o. mentioning it to friends of yours is a mortal sin, regardless of religion....

Frankly, it's probably better to stop for awhile -- I have for similar reasons -- and, it's made me realize how much stuff I bought that I have no desire to own -- but I still refuse to turn down a decent priced super posed

Wait! I forgot one thing!

While I'm wishing for impossible things, I'll wish for a Holland & Holland 12-gauge shotgun, side by side. In coach gun format. I'll say, though, that I'm not wholly obsessed by the idea. I'll also take a Purdey done to that spec as well.

Well crap. If Springfield has brought back the multi caliber, then I am going to be compelled to buy it.

The article in Front Sight gave it a bare-bones price of $2700.00, and to get one similar to the gun in the article's accompanying photos was around $4000.00.

You're damn right I'll be using that thing at every IPSC match I'm in. If I'm spending that kind of money on something that isn't to be hung on a Wall of Shame like the aforementioned Desert Eagle, then I'm going to use it often.

I can't find one on the USPSA site. It's in the July/August 2008 edition of Front Sight magazine, so you might need to scrounge it from a local IPSC shooter.
