Hey, all. I'm looking for a tarp, and am having zero luck finding what I want! Essentially, I want a tarp I can use as a backpacking tent. I'll add my own light-weight stakes, and probably won't need a center pole.
So, here are the requirements:
* About 10'x10'
* UV-Resistant
* Very Light-Weight
* Very Small Size When Folded

Well, what I did was to buy an 8x12 plastic tarp, four tent stakes, some rope, and a grommet kit. I put four extra grommets into the tarp longways, ran the rope between two convenient trees, and drove put the tent stakes into the extra grommet holes. Worked like a charm.
I just used a cheapo blue tarp, and it lasted forever.
