Re: Everything Old Is New Again, I guess
Hmmm. At $12-13 hundred dollars, I might look at something like the stainless for a BBQ gun, but not for EDC.
Looks like the Mags are not going to be interchangeable with the classic. Not sure the take down lever on the ambi slide release is really necessary, but it is fewer loose parts to misplace when cleaning I guess.
I'll be waiting to see actual reviews of the guns.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

I think part of what drives this, is man’s inherent desire for beauty, especially in his daily tools.
Snap-On wrenches, Eastwing Hammers, any JMB or older Colt design, and most S&W designs, had a sense of proportion and line.
G1 Glocks “almost” have lines, but many modern designs have either no sense of an aesthetic or what must be a conscious rejection of it.

Glocks, S&W M&P, Springfield XD, etc, are for the most part, souless appliances, making them ideal as carry guns, as there's a real possibility of it being confiscated, at least temporarily, if you have to use it.
Plastic striker 9s? You're just going to be annoyed at the cost of replacement.

The interchangeable nature of their parts and accessories (for the good ones) is nice too. Almost anyone can tinker at home or even do a build in a way very few could for 1911s, HighPowers, or whatnot.

Which is why I carry reliable but generic guns daily.HTRN wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 3:46 amGlocks, S&W M&P, Springfield XD, etc, are for the most part, souless appliances, making them ideal as carry guns, as there's a real possibility of it being confiscated, at least temporarily, if you have to use it.

I've have. Mostly I was annoyed with the parts houses.
Have you ever called up your relative/wife/friend, all excited about the new refrigerator you bought? Because I haven't.
