When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Post by Candyman »

Palmetto State has been having some pretty good sales on blemish lowers. I picked these up for $169.95 each with free shipping.
They looked good at first glance but something was odd. Then I noticed that the lowers were not black, they're gray.

Two of the lowers had their Enhanced Polished Trigger, which was a nice plus.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I was thinking about er-coating the lowers, but one of the lowers was a nice gray color. Last night I pulled a Magpul MOE gray grip out and it matched the lower pretty nice. I looked around the shop and found a MOE buttstock, SL handguard and triggerguard in Gray.
I had an extra a PAS M4 upper with a 1/7 Black Nitride barrel sitting in a box and an AIM nickel boron BCG.
So I made some Gray Lemonade.

I just ordered a Magpul gray MBUS rear sight to finish it off.
Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.

from a pile of parts to a fully assembled gun, how long does it take you to complete a build?

With all the parts laid out on a clean bench, just under an hour. Having the right tools makes things easy.
