Hmmm. I seem to recall being counseled that stealing firearms was a federal felony when I got a (not nearly as sweet you bastard) deal on my Novak re-worked Hi Power.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
Took all three of them to the bench for cleaning this morning.
The 1940 Colt was suffering a dry gritty trigger and a heavy pull. Turned out that the cavity where the trigger moves was packed full of pocket lint. I mean, full. After a good cleaning and some oil, it smoothed right out.
The 1919 Colt had original serialed grips, and somebody named "SAUNDERS" had scratched their name inside the one panel. It was full of dry black carbon grit and when cleaned and oiled was very smooth.
The Smith was in good shape except for some rust inside the side plate, and it had the very early hammer-block safety made of spring-steel and pressed inside the side plate. Neat, first one of those I've owned. I have another 500,000 serial number that is a bit lower, and it doesn't have this feature.
