How much does 20mm Vulcan go for these days? An Anzio 20mm isn't exactly cheap, but would the ammo for one be a cheaper option than feeding a Lahti?

The issue is less cost than availability. Empty 20mm Vulcan shells round off to "free".

You can find them at most ELGS for $2 to $5 per empty case. Reloading them is a minor problem because Vulcans are electrically fired, so you need to figure out a way to insert a percussion primer. The Anzio guys can talk you through that.

Once you've got that part solved, you're back to finding practice 20mm Vulcan projos (good luck!), or machining them from brass bar stock, which is the same cost as for the Lahti.

Again, scoring the ammo is a PITA. The big advantage of the Anzio is that 20mm Vulcan ammo is actually available (although expensive). A casual run through gunbroker shows one round of 20x138mm Solothurn ammo, versus hundreds of rounds of 20x102mm Vulcan ammo.

Even 20x110mm Oerlikon and 20x139mm Hispano-Suiza (which was only used a short time by the US) is easier to find than the 20x138mm Solothurn.

I'm amazed that prices have come down - I remember it was maybe 10 years ago, when a complete 90mm antitank gun had an asking price of 150K on that infamous DD forum, and was sold in a week. I suspect that the reason for the price drop is simply a shitty economy.

In the interest of full disclosure, the 105mm howitzer that was offered to me for $10k was "some assembly required". It came out of a self propelled howitzer, so it was just the tube and recuperator. The breech was uncut and the barrel was clean (though some superficial surface rust) with strong rifling. The breech block was there, but it was incomplete, and not attached to the tube. However, according to BATFE, it was registered as a "live" DD on a Form 4, even though there was no earthly way it would ever launch a projo without a lot of work. The Form 4 was basically a license to do the work to make it into something that would launch a projo without going to jail.

Yeah, I passed.

The owner either didn't want to, or couldn't transfer the registration, so unfortunately, there is one less 105mm howitzer on the NFA registry. He didn't want to go through the hassle of shopping for another buyer, so he cut the breech and the barrel per new BATFE regulations so he could remove it from the NFA registry and possess it.
