Reports are that Kalashnikov Concern will be manufacturing AKs and such right here in the USA:
AK News BOMB!!!! Kalashnikov concern is in process of opening production here in USA. If everything will go well, we will see first, made in USA Kalashnikov Concern AKs later this year!!! All calibers will be produced, including Saiga 9 in 9mm.
Some of you might remember the concerns that some of us had regarding buying guns from Norinco, the idea being that supporting a firearms company directly owned by a state with a poor human rights record that also was an economic and military rival to the US might not be the best of ideas. Now I don't know who exactly owns the Kalashnikov Concern but given recent events the Ukraine and whatnot I can't help but find myself in a bit of a quandary as to if buying their guns is a good idea or not.

:jacked:
Yup.
On the plus side, though? The Polish company Fabryka Broni Lucznik is looking to expand to the US, so we all might be able to buy an MSBS before too long.
RWC said it is not permitted to have any contact with the Russian company, Kalashnikov Concern, which makes the AK-47s.
"We are not permitted to pick up the phone and to talk to them," said Thomas McCrossin, CEO of RWC, which owns the Kalashnikov USA brand. "We were forced to stop doing business with them because of the sanctions."
And the CNN picture has an actual gun in it. I can't seem to find any in the one posted by Darrell.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".
Yeah, evidently the guy is/was the US importer for Kalashnikov Concern. Obummer's sanctions forbid him from any contact with KC. Evidently he intends to go into production himself, and since he owns US rights to the Kalashnikov name, well, he's gonna call himself Kalashnikov USA. That changes the story a LOT.
I'm not overly concerned about being called a chauvinist, but, is it chauvinistic to stare at a pretty young lady who is put there for the sole purpose of being stared at?
Oh, yeah, guns. Bring 'em.
If time, chance and random process can produce a platypus why not an ammo tree?
Since Inter Ordnance Inc. move to Florida, hired some engineers, and purchased some good machinery they have reportedly been turning out some fairly decent AK's at reasonable prices. Classic Firearms is touting them. They have some connection to a Polish outfit I hear. However I personally haven't finger printed or shot one. Interesting in that they are nitride hardening the barrels.
