Same thing year round:

Keltec PF-9 in a Crossbreed SuperTuck.

I don't find it particularly tuckable, but I've got a bit of dunlap going.

Speaking of shorts and flip flops (or was that another thread?), does anyone have any good experience with ankle carry?

Same as the rest of the year. Commander 1911 or Glock 20.

No, but I intend to experiment next winter.

As skinny as my legs are, if I tried to ankle carry, it would look like I had some sort of disease or something.

As is, I'm fat enough to conceal a full-sized 1911, so a 4-incher is a walk in the park.

I wonder if anyone would notice if you open carried that way.

Sadly, some wouldn't.

I've got an ankle rig. It's a garbage means of carry, at least for me. I wear jeans most every day, so it doesn't work there, and in the few slacks/pants I have baggy enough to conceal it (Taurus 605), it's painfully slow and awkward.

I figure that's a given. My problem is that when I have to dress up and it's too hot for a jacket, I'm stuck with a belly band. Depending on shirt material, that can be hard to hide, too.

I was thinking about a Taurus PT738 in an ankle holder under slacks as an "at least I have something" option.

Look on the bright side. An ankle holster will make you walk with a limp anyway, so you can just carry a heavy-topped cane, and use that to beat the bejaysus out of attackers 8-)

My summer carry - the same as always - no firearms. Moral: guard your freedoms jealously!!
