Here is a pic of the first target that I shot with my newly completed AR.
The gun is a 24" White oaks Armament upper (in .223 1:8 twist). I have an Anderson lower with a generic parts kit, a Gieselle SSA-E trigger, I forget the name of the pistol grip.
The scope is a POS Tasco 3x9 (read as $40 scope), mainly because it's what I had that I didn't have to remove from a rifle that I have properly dialed in.
Considering the scope. I am not unhappy at all with this.
These were all shot with 77 gr berger OTM bullets over 25.2 gr of AA2520. No fiddling with seating depth has been done.
order was bottom left - - with first shot being the highest in the group

Not counting the first shot / flyer, the worst of the groups is 1.5". The best is 5/8" Assuming I put a bit more time behind the gun and get a better optic mounted, this should be a sub MOA gun.

Nice. Just completed a 7.62x39 build. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

They just got better and better. That last group makes for a nice looking target. Now you should try it out past 25 yards.

I was just gonna' ask, what was the range to the target? The type of target, groupings, and the use of the scope leads me to believe it was 100 yards.Durham68 wrote:They just got better and better. That last group makes for a nice looking target. Now you should try it out past 25 yards.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

I should have notated it, but it was 100 yards.
