The case is larger than I visualized. Damned millimeter descriptions...

It's alive!

ETA: Don't have AutoCAD on it yet. Still installing other software and Windows updates.

Ooh, dual monitors. Rock on!

Though you're a brave man getting a loud case. I mean that in terms of both light and sound, I just can't deal with led's or windows in cases (didn't people grow out of that stuff in the early 00's or something?), and all those free-flood holes... well that case is likely to have some fan noise. Though it looks like that case is an excellent deal financially, I've gotten much more sensitive to gratuitous lights and noises as I've gotten older.

Right now I'm thinking something like a Fractal Design R4 for my next build.

I've gotten spoiled at work. I think I'm going to turn the lower resolution monitor vertical for documents and have the higher resolution one landscape for cad and movies.

It's been so long since I've done a build I didn't even realize there were lights and windows on this thing. It seems pretty quiet, though. I'm doing the build at work. When I get home, it will sit under a desk, so I won't see the lights or probably hear anything at all. I think the bios will let me control the fan speed, too.

Precision -

FWIW - Total cost for this including shipping from NewEgg was $965 and $220 for the processor from Amazon. Total: $1,185. This includes the OS, i5, 8Gb of RAM, 1 TB hard drive, 2 monitors, and a wireless adapter. No video card (it was on the MB - I may add a card later).

I'd get a different case - this is bigger than I visualized. You could dump one monitor and the wireless card to save some money.

I had to get something recently and got an off-lease HP z600, dropped a second CPU in it, two new hard drives, and 12 GB of RAM, spent about $550
