For "unable" read "not yet hungry enough"...Termite wrote:What, there's no potatoes and cabbage in a Russian jail?A young Finnish female activist is a vegan and unable to eat prison food.....

Or Ivan Denisovich.dfwmtx wrote:"Shocked, really? Y'all never read 'Gulag Archipelago', did you?"
However, I believe sinking Greenpeace boats is more a French pastime.

Well, there's one problem...whatever gave them the idea that Russia is a democratic state? They make pretend, but so did Saddam. Did they miss the part about Putin being KGB?"They had never expected that they would face such consequences for their peaceful protest in a democratic state."

After reading about that clusterfuck, it seems like it would be a better policy to just torpedo them in mid ocean.Denis wrote:Or Ivan Denisovich.dfwmtx wrote:"Shocked, really? Y'all never read 'Gulag Archipelago', did you?"

I sent an email to the President of Russia praising him for his actions.

Slight correction: Firing Mk-19 rounds from an M203 is a good way to get a head removed.Yogimus wrote:Firing Mk-19 rounds from a 203 is a good way to get a shoulder removed.
Not only are they much different pressure rounds, they are dimensionally different to keep people from making stupid mistakes, kind of like the dimensional differences of a .38 S&W vs a .357 magnum. I guess someone could try and jam a Mk19 round into an M203. The M203 barrel is aluminum, so there would be some "give". That "someone's" next (and last) words would likely be, "hold my beer while I try this."

You know we are well and truly fucked when the President of Russia is trying harder to keep the USA out of a stupid nonsensical war, than the POTUS..........Jered wrote:I sent an email to the President of Russia praising him for his actions.

Frankly, I think Putin might make a better president for the US than Barry O.
Hell, I wish we had Shillary right now, even she'd be better. I suspect she would have nuked (metaphorically) Benghazi just to make sure she looked strong. Would have been a better outcome than Barry sleeping through it.
Actually, a random name from the phone book couldn't hurt.
In reality, my Golden Retriever would be a better president than Barry. She knows not to shit in the house and not to bite the hand that feeds her.
