Bombed with live turkeys? Don't you think they'd be flapping on the way down?
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

Well, the rememberable quote was:308Mike wrote:Bombed with live turkeys? Don't you think they'd be flapping on the way down?
Flapping isn't flying. If I was dropped from a helicopter, I'd probably be flapping on the way down too. Don't think it'd do much good..."As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

So I take it ya'll never saw a wild turkey in the top of a tree? Not that it diminishes the funny at all. Farm turkeys are about the dumbest animal ever bred.

Farm turkeys don't fly...like chickens...only bigger and uglier!Lokidude wrote:So I take it ya'll never saw a wild turkey in the top of a tree? Not that it diminishes the funny at all. Farm turkeys are about the dumbest animal ever bred.

Yup. And, there isn't a lot of meat on that wild turkey. The Quiet Man wrote:Farm turkeys don't fly...like chickens...only bigger and uglier!Lokidude wrote:So I take it ya'll never saw a wild turkey in the top of a tree? It depends on the breed. The really big fat breeds drop like a brick, some of the smaller non-comercial breeds can at least fly enough to get themselves up to a tree or on a fence to roost (or break their fall if thrown up in the air to see if they can fly - I had too much time on my hands as a kid). The Quiet Man wrote:Farm turkeys don't fly...like chickens...only bigger and uglier!Lokidude wrote:So I take it ya'll never saw a wild turkey in the top of a tree? Just like chickens, leghorns drop like bricks but some of the other breeds can move around pretty well.
