Shower time and personal/home defense...

Hello Friends!

I, like some of you, do my best thinking in the shower and this came to mind today. How would you protect/defend yourself while taking a shower? I mean, you are completely vulnerable due to several factors including not hearing an intruder break in at the time, lack of self defense weapons and being in a confined space. You can't keep any kind of firearm in your bathroom, the humidity would just destroy it after time so that option seems out. OC (Pepper) Spray is out. If you've ever been sprayed or had the misfortune of having your partner discharge his OC in a confined space then you know exactly why this is not feasible. So let's see what opinions, ideas, comments and otherwise brilliant things we can come up with for this situation. I mean, my only thought so far was the shear horror of seeing "Workinwifdakidz" naked in the shower would likely stop any burglar, murderer or rapist dead in their tracks. But, God knows I can't keep him around that often.

Game on! And. let's try not to thread jack this one because I think 99% of us could use this info in our everyday lives!

Just have a knife (or a Gerber or Leatherman). Then you can carve a bar of soap into whatever caliber you wish.

Been there, witnessed the strangeness firsthand. Could not get shut of the place quickly enough.

and when some one breaks in to a house and dosent get shot , the first words out of the leos mouth are "your really lucky" and yup we have weird cornered.

This. 180lbs of dog(s) does wonders to keep an intruder's attention. They both lay in the floor just outside the shower whenever one of us is in there, so I never really worry about it. Shotgun is between me and the bedroom door on the way out of the bathroom, so crazy naked guy with a 12-gauge would be a pretty good follow-up to the dogs.

Whatever I carried that day. I exit the bathroom through my bedroom, which has more pistols and a shotgun stoked with buck. Down the hall towards the door is my office/armory where the big guns are.

I am envious, mine is only 6"
