Let the GOP know
Just thought I might throw this idea out. Better start contacting the GOP headquarters and letting them know you're dissatisfied and angry at the results of last night. I just wrote and said I wasn't sending them one red cent until they got someone lined up who'd take the party to the right in the model of Reagan. Tell all your conservative friends to write also. It sure as hell can't hurt and is better than whining about the outcome.
one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.

Talk to your local GOP reps, but there's a quarterly meeting in late Nov/Early Dec. That's an important meeting, but I forget why

I disagree. It was an epic asswhippin' and my reason for saying that will be kept especially short. While the numbers look moderately close, they really aren't. Because the votes for Obama are actually FOR Obama and an awful lot of votes for McCain are NOT for McCain, but AGAINST Obama. A minor technicality that seems to be getting lost when folks look over the numbers...especially the republicans. If the republicrats think it was really that close they won't get the idea that they need to fundamentally change their approach. At least that's how I see it...YMMV308Mike wrote:Nope.DougWojtowicz wrote:+1

I call that Spot On. While I selected the McCain/Palin option, it was definitely a vote AGAINST the Socialist. Hell, I haven't been able to vote FOR a presidential candidate in years.... I voted AGAINST Gore and Kerry, not for Shrub. The Quiet Man wrote: ........While the numbers look moderately close, they really aren't. Re: Let the GOP know
I've written a pretty nasty letter to the RNC to tell them that until they can put up a viable candidate for president, and stop trying to convince everyone that the entire RNC couldn't manage a one-hole outhouse, that I will either vote Libertarian or not at all.
Yes, I realize that voting Libertarian is essentially throwing my vote away. But if you're gonna piss into the wind anyway, does it really matter which way the wind is blowing?
