Speaking in San Francisco the day after adjournment of the Republican-controlled 2005-06 Congress, Pelosi declared -- as she had throughout her party's successful November election campaign -- that "my highest priority, immediately, is to stop the war in Iraq.''
Well, she also promised to preside over the most "ethical congress ever" and basically gave up on that and hour or two after making that statement. Hey, it's the thought that counts anyway.......
If McCain wins the election, I think Madame Pelosi (AKA Tom Delay without the charm) will be replaced with a more moderate Speaker of the House. She's become an embarrassment to the other members of the party.

Nah, you are thinking logically. The bigger a screw up you are, the more the left likes you. Think about how much they love Jimmy C. and when was the last time he was successful at anything.
