The Executive's FAK

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

So, since I still couldn't find the kit, I sent an eMail inquiry, and here is the response:
We do not advertise nor post any of our custom kits on the website, otherwise we would have an overwhelmingly amount of kits on there. Your customers would have to call in with the product number or name (04365, Executive FAK) in order to purchase this kit. Thanks!

So, I am a little disappointed that you have to call them and can't just punch it up online.
Still, it's a good kit. If you don't want the combat gauze, you can always order the components, but you will have to bag them yourself.

You're right, doc: one would think it would come up through their store's search engine. Nonetheless, I think you've built a purpose-driven piece of quality gear there, and I hope it becomes quite popular.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

I meant to post this last night but got distracted:

FYI - they are only open from 0800-1700 hrs, M-F, Mountain Standard Time. And they apparently close right on time (I can't say if they close early since I was a few minutes late on the phone). I expect to place my order tomorrow, and if a few others do likewise, perhaps they'll at least put it searchable online, so you can place your order at any time.

Dammit, it's all screwed up.
So, I decided to order a few of these kits for some of the doctors going through the prehospital care fellowship I went through.
Well, they showed up, and I am utterly disappointed.
They are not like the prototype that I was sent.
they decided to put them into a different, largere pouch to vacuum seal.
The problem with this is that when they did that, it allowed the contents to spread out, and turned it from a rectangular shape to a kind of fat pancake. This means that the whole pouch no longer meets criteria.
So, it doesn't fit into a jeans pocket, it doesn't fit into a dual mag pouch, and it doesn't fit into an inside suit coat pocket.
I am so angry!! Why the heck did they feel that it was okay to do that!!
GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because someone in production thinks it makes his life easier, and doesn't understand the need for compactness. Calling, and fixing stuff like this is a regular part of modern manufacture- because, afterall, the only reason companies and customers exist is to provide jobs... Anti-Communist rant deleted...

What would you add to it, if it was meant to be handed to a combat medic or surgeon? There was an accident at one shoot I attended, which had several veteran medics, but the only man w a kit was a firearms instructor for the military.
