You may remember the thread I started about the modular stock I built for my Saiga 12 shotgun a while back. I posted the same pictures to another forum, and based on the positive comments I received, I decided that other shooters might be interested in buying one like it. So, I made a few test pieces to see if I could build duplicates that would be just as good, and in a timely manner. That went pretty well, so I made a second small run of them to ensure that I'd have some inventory ready in case people actually want to buy them, and now I finally have a website up to display my products and provide a point of contact for people interested in them. Therefore, Mortimer and I would like to announce the availability of the Wolverine modular stock from Boomsticks Forever:



These are basically the same as the one on my shotgun, except I am using a black powder coat on the production units, with less gloss than the semi-gloss I used on the prototype (I had it loaded in my coating gun at the time so it was convenient). Construction is TIG welded 4130 chrome-moly steel, and they are designed to fit the commonly available modular blocks and folding mechanisms that are available to fit many different weapons. Each stock is welded in a permanent jig to ensure consistency, and checked on an actual receiver block adapter and rifle for fit and straightness. Please note that the cord wrap is something I did special for my brother, and I'm not offering that as an option at this time. I'm going to post pictures of a couple different user-applied cheek treatments that could be used if you want.

It's pretty basic at this point (about a 1995 level website), and I don't know when or if it'll become worth getting set up to take credit cards, but it's about as ready as I am going to be at this time. My only gripe. I think (verified) damage caused while beating a terrorist to death should be covered under warranty AND get you a spokes model position (unpaid of course).

NPR, although it SHOULD be obvious, you need to clearly put on the website, on each page, that these parts are US made, and US marked for compliance (no just in the FAQ and the individual product pages... yes, its stupid, but so are people).

Yeah, I knew somebody was going to say something about US marking. The stocks are not actually US marked at this time... I hit the 4130 with one of my letter stamps, and it didn't make much of a dent at all. And I just couldn't bring myself to freehand it someplace visible with a dremel engraver. I could put it under the butt spacer which is glued on, next to the serial number (not visible without removing the spacer), but figured that wouldn't make anyone happy because people want stuff that is visibly marked, even though 922r doesn't require it, and AFAIK nobody has ever been prosecuted for a 922r violation. Guess I could put a sticker or something on it, but I'm open to suggestions.

What's the LOP on your S12 with this stock?

About 14-5/8" LOP on my shotgun. That's with the standard Ace hinge, and the Limbsaver pad. The standard recoil pad is a little shorter, maybe 3/8" or so. I've currently got a piece of 1-1/16" square bar on my workbench, that I'm going to use to make a spacer for my jig, so I can make a shorter stock for people who don't have gorilla arms like I do. I just didn't make any in the first bunch since it took me a while to find what I did with that piece of steel.

I think refusing to warranty against breakage for beating a terrorist to death is wrong. You should do a one-for-one exchange, as long as you get a good pic of the dead terrorist to use for advertising purposes......

Have you considered making the lower tube parallel to the upper tube, about halfway out, then angling it down? Might work better for side folders to give clearance to the trigger and such. Might look too much like Ace's stock, though.
