It gave the pro life zealots a joygasm. They were cutting to the baby over and over at the convention for a reason.
And who was controlling the cameras? Not the McCain campaign. In case you didn't notice, they showed ALL of Palin's family members over and over again.

I'm sorry, I have to interject. The correct term is "Obamatons" as opposed to "Obamabots." You see, robots are actually useful.

"Obamunists" is also in the approved lists.

What is this "back on topic" of which you speak? ;)

My basic take on the debates and the campaign in general, does anyone else wish that McVain could find it in himself to act even half as much as an asshole towards Barry as he does towards his "fellow" Republicans?
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

I don't believe that Palin could have gotten the republican nod during the primaries...not at all. The mere idea is almost as ludicrous as Obambi getting the demoncrat nod...oh wait...

In any event the whole arguement just doesn't hold up. Palin is NOT running for president...any more than Joe Biden is. Palin's experience could be considered weak...especially by a liberal (only liberals are allowed to run for president with weak experience). Now, having said that, Obama IS running for president. NOT vice president. He is aiming at the big chair...and he has NO experience. NONE. NADA. ZIP. Again, he ain't running for vice president...he is running at the head of his ticket. This whole thing about Palin's apparent lack of experience is little more than a liberal ploy to deflect attention away from their guy's mighty thin resume. Sadly, the American people are buying into it...forget about the guy running for the big chair who has no experience...let's remind folks out there that the other side is running somebody who's experience is a little weak for the #2 spot. This is one of the biggest red herrings in presidential politics I have ever witnessed. Just to get it straight - NO EXPERIENCE in the #1 spot is OK...and SLIM EXPERIENCE in the #2 spot is unacceptable. You've got to be fuckin' kidding me right? This is the liberal take on the presidency? Perhaps we take McCain and Obambi out of it and let Palin and Biden run for president if the vice president is the real important portion of the ticket. How's that sound? Biden is 2 brain cells away from being a drooling idiot...just another shyster ambulance chasing used car salesman...anybody really want him a heartbeat from the presidency. Anyone? Bueller? He has about the same tenuous grasp of the facts and only a passing acquaintance with the truth as our last democrat president...only without the likeable personality.

You hit the point before I could. She is going for Little P, not Big P. The fact that there is a constant comparison going on is laudable for the strategist who came up with it. All those swing voters know this as well and can tell the difference.

Barking moonbats may be loud, but they are actually not a majority in this country, otherwise GW, another inexperienced candidate would not have won, twice. With low approval ratings and up against experienced opponents and one incumbent. Twice. No one on either side really likes him, and his approvals are in the tank, and he was still a better choice to the majority of Americans than any democrat.

Think on it.

My original point on this thread was that the overarching tragedy here is that these two seemingly are the best that America could do. That fact worries me more than either Jimmy Carter dark or J.McClown. If this is the best that we can do for leadership we're screwed.
This election IS OVER and eight years of Dear leader BHO is going to leave America unrecognizable. You just watch..The U.N. is going to become the new seat of power under his administration.

(it's hard to take the high road and avoid name calling with either of these two)

It's not over till the fat lady has her screech (and she doesn't need to spit and grab her crotch afterwards either). As I've said before, IF the Smelly Man gets elected, he'll be a one-term President, providing he survives his term (not having Hitlery in the wings waiting helps to ensure he'll survive).

These two idiots are NOT the best America can bring forth, unfortunately, the media have made it so bad that nobody in their right mind that would be best for the job wouldn't want to go through all the bullshit nor put their family through it all either. Like I said about Fred Thompson, since it appears he's not dying to do the job, he's probably the best person for the job (out of those candidates).

Juan McCain wasn't selected by the voters or the Republican Party, he was selected and supported BY THE PRESS. Fred Thompson was IGNORED by the press even after he was running. THEY, the media, selected the candidates - by who they supported and who they ignored.

THAT was one of the funniest things I've ever read about Obama!
