I find the THR a little sterile and am not impressed with many of the posters. Of course, I am a snob and a rat bastard...

Here here.

I've been a THR member for a few years, but pretty much only so I could comment on other people commenting on my own posts. I've never found THR, TFL, or Arfcom to be worthwhile communities.

i stopped posting at THR after the 50th time or so that a discussion devolved into outrageous insults and the people doing the insulting were still allowed to keep on with the behavior day after day.

arfcom is good to me because the hometown forum is where all out local meet and greets are planned in my area.

Hmm, I didn't know about the snob part............. ;)

I also am not impressed with many of the posters. Way too many insipid idle information gatherers (How many guns?, How much ammo?, Who are you?, etc.) I do find the Reloading Forum of some use.

Yeah, TFL is just full of curmudgeonly old bastards who found out how to be as insulting online as they are in person. Operating room environment. BLECH!

I do post there, but only if I have a very specific question that could use a wider audience's input, but otherwise...

The Firing Line, I don't even read any thing there.

As for the High Road, Oleg has set up a paralell universe
