I don't think anyone's THAT good at Photoshopping, Obama...

Post by Scott Free »

I just cannot freaking believe that this idiot has actually come out to take this stand this close to the election after spending so much time obfuscating his entire record. It is un-dirty word-believable -- and incredibly fortunate all things considered. I mean, this was obviously aimed at the nutroot base but he didn't think that it would get out and likely influence anyone else? Thank God, for the lamebrains running his campaign.

Even with this revelation, I cannot bring myself to believe that I'm going to have to vote for freakin' McCain but this -- what do you call something beyond insanity -- has made me realize that its better to vote for the drunk weaving around and headed toward the cliff than the damnfool who aims straight at the edge and floors it. He wants to make a "civilian national security force" too.

Wonder what that means?
The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

Hmm, that's interesting...

'Nother linky courtesy of Senor Limbaugh.

Transcript (from an '07 clip, btw -- wonder why we're just now seeing it):

As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus for Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington. First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning -- and as president, I will end it. Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems, and I will institute an independent defense priorities board to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending. Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material, and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals. You know where I stand.

"slow our development of future combat systems"

i.e. cancel them until we end up with half the world using the russian-made equivalent.

According to Wikipedia there's some talk of integration of State Guards/Militias with the Department of Homeland Security.

I don't even know how to approach the subject of what this means for us, and how to prevent or mitigate it. Lets just use a picture, shall we? Feel free to draw your own conclusions from there.
