Anyone know of a feminine, decent flashlight? She's a very "proper" woman in certain ways, and can be picky about what she carries. (I've also learned she doesn't "lose" things she likes. I bought her a Tiffany's tape measure, and she's kept that for years, even though she constantly lost other ones.)

As it's Christmas, she's been grumbling about losing flashlights -- which means she wants a nice one for a present.

Orb makes a sterling one, but it doesn't look like it's actually much of a flashlight. Suggestions?

Buy 6 of these, and put one in her glove box of her car 1 in her purse, and 1 in the trunk of her car. When she loses one replace it for her, out of your stash .
I routinely check my wife's car to make sure she has her requisite arctic gear, my suggestion is you do the same. Safety does not come as a first thought to many folks, keeping an eye on your spouses preparedness is a probably good idea.

Hmm... Well, I can talk to Dad about keeping a flashlight for her. (Or check it myself, on occassion, when we're both in SC.)

Sorry missed that , your Dad would (I suspect) probably just roll his eyes. the advice follows him then , maybe.

Something you didn't mention was how long she will need it during most uses, and would she need a lot of light in close, or more "throw" range.

I bought several Nuwai QIII Q3s some time ago, and they are excellent lights for the price. Available in metallic green and titanium colors. They will give full power for 30-40 minutes, with slowly diminishing light after that for another 2 hrs. Here is a review: Linky.
I can also recommend the Titanium Innovations CR123A lithium batteries. I've been using them for several years.
You could buy 2 of the lights and a dozen batteries for 37.66 plus shipping. Battery Junction-dot-com has given me excellent service.
