DeSantis Speed Scabbard for Sigma 9VE

Given how close in to the body the PA-63 rides in the Don Hume leather holster, I decide to try something in leather for the Sigma. Wanted something with a thumb break, ideally, but found a good deal for the DeSantis on Midway.

Retention is better than a Fobus; no movement or creep when moving around. Looks good, and the fit is exact (it's made specifically for the Sigmas) and has 3 openings to allow canting. Because it holds tighter than a Fobus or Blackhawk, you don't feel the weight anywhere near as much.

It's still quite "creaky" at the moment. I've been wearing it constantly for the last 2 days to help break it in, which goes to show how comfy it is. It's made the Sigma first choice again for carry, as it's more discreet (and more wearable) than anything I've used previously for the Sigma. All in all, a good buy. I didn't think I'd think much about leather up until I got the Don Hume. The DeSantis certainly keeps the side up as far as cowhide is concerned.

The manufacturer's number for the black right hand side version 002BAD8Z0, if anyone's interested. It fits the Sigma CPT, 40G, 9G, SW40GVE, SW40VE, SW9VGE and SW9VE.

Did you send it in for a trigger job -- I might have to track down the link, but S&W has been paying for trigger work under their warranty.

I'd asked S&W in an email a while back, and they'd said they weren't. If you can find the link I'd appreciate it. They may have introduced something since I asked.

The only thing I know of for fixing the Sigma's trigger is a Wolff spring kit, and it's highly recommended that you don't use it for self defense.

"It is what it is." (My coworker has been saying that constantly to my manager's chagrin.)

Silk purse, sow's ear, etc, etc... Can you tell I dislike Sigmas? That happens when you work on them all the time!

Hey, you settle down, Mud! Me and Dub James rock the Sigma!

What's funny is, I must have outstanding luck. I've lost track of rounds, but it's above 4,000 right now. It's tight as a nut, still. All my friends give me crap, but I love my Sigma.
