Well I took your guys advice in this thread and bought a new pair of Danner boots.
I purchased the Quarry 2.0 model at D&B supply during a 20% off all apparel sale. Which included Boots! So for just under $160 I got a new pair of boots! Epic WIN!
My only concern is that the Vibram soles they have are not the classic pattern, so I hope they will be as tough as the Vibrams on my last pair of boots.

Years from now our children and grandchildren living in a 3rd world America will ask "What were you doing on March 21st 2010 and why didn't you stop it?"

Re: New Boots
If the soles don't work out, you can go with the "classic" type when you have them re-soled. The older of my two current pairs of Danners are on their third set of soles.
