AIM Surplus has the C Products AR 30 rd mags in stock, for $9.95 each:

Pretty good deal in today's political/economic climate. They also have some steel AK 30 rd mags, new manufacture from S. Korea, also for $9.95. I'm curious to see how well they're made and work:

That's a good price on those AR mags and I am REALLY tempted to try out those AK mags. I wonder if these are the same people who make those Korean M14 mags. From what I hear the Korean M14 mags are supposed to be pretty good, so hopefully these will too.
EDIT: I looked around a bit and some other places now have these, though AIM has the best price. I was unable to find anything bad about them on the intertubes so perhaps I will get some.

I received my order from AIM today, the Korean AK mags look very nice. Not sure when I'll be able to take them out for test shooting, but darn, they do look good. I'll try cycling some ammo through them later just to be sure. AIM does still show them in stock at the $9.95 price, I'd say to get 'em while ya can.
Oh, the C Products AR mags look nice too.
ETA: Okay, I tried cycling ammo from the Korean mags through my VEPR II, and thought I'd report on it. The mags are quite a snug fit, but do lock in okay. They cycled Golden Tiger FMJ fine, but the gun wasn't happy with some Brown Bear semi jacketed soft point from the mags. I've had problems before feeding soft points in the VEPR, the noses of the rounds would tend to run into the feed ramp and distort. Offhand I'd ascribe the problem to the gun, not the mags. Would anybody have any thoughts on this? I usually run FMJ through the gun anyway, so I don't foresee a problem.

I still haven't ordered any. I decided that I needed ammo more than mags. However I hope to be able to try them soon. Does the synthetic follower look as sturdy as the original metal ones? That is my only real fear about these other than if they'll fit well.

loaded one of the two already... they are nice looking and the follower seems like it will last a while... my only real concern is how long the finish will last... but for $10 who cares...
they dont rattle when loaded like all my milsurp ones do... one of the feed lips on the 2nd one had a burr on it that hurt my finger when i loaded it, ill have to take some sand paper to that...
