Weaver scope sale at Natchez Shooters Supply

Just in case anyone here is in the market for a Weaver scope, I received an on-line flier from Natchez Shooters Supply today. They are having a sale on Weaver Classic Extreme scopes.

IIRC, Weaver is now owned by Meade Instruments, which is a Taiwanese company. I'm not sure I'd pay that much for glass made in the Philippines, China or Taiwan.

I've got the same opinion, but I'd like to pick up a decent scope for my .22 in the near future, and I just can't afford American or European manufacturers. I think I'm just going to settle for buying from someone who's not communist. I like Taiwan a hell of alot more than I like China.

Yup. Nightforce get's theirs from Japan, and I priced a 12.5-42x at the show last weekend for $1300.. NOT CHEAP.
Leupold buys theirs from Japan as well.

For the same price as these Philippine made Weavers, you can get a Zeiss Conquest - made in the USA:
