Well from the supermarket library I find that John Connor is starting a new series on tactical gear and its use, "The Tacticripple Chronicles." He zigged when he should have zagged a while back in the sandbox( Anwar area in Iraq) and is now exploring self-defense when using two of those four footed walker canes to get around on.
He has a photo of one equipped with a sheathed knife, two magazine carriers, and an Insight Tech Gear light/laser mounted on the base plate. It has a nice cammo paint job. He's thinking about having a single shot 12 gauge or a .45-70 built into the shaft.
Apparently since there is Sciatic nerve damage involved, everything gets to be even more fun when you are on pain killers.
Not to worry though, his friends and family are taking care of him......with insults, threats of death win he heals up, and stealing his jeep for a semester or two since it is better for a vehicle to be driven rather than just left to sit around.

Connor is one of the few "gunwriters" that I read with any regularity, cause it's just so much damned fun.
And anybody who thinks he's really tough? I dare you to read his story about Little Lizzie without developing a little eye trouble.

But there ain't many troubles that a man caint fix, with seven hundred dollars and a thirty ought six."

Ooopps, my bad. I forgot to mention that this was in Guns magazine, in Conner's "Odd Angry Shot" column.
