It seems like it would be, or could be, a good combination.
I think it would help hold the holster in place, away from the neck, and hold the holster in place some.

The shoulder strap of a Sam Browne belt goes through the epaulette too. Similar idea.Aglifter wrote:It seems like it would be, or could be, a good combination.

Austrian / Bavarian hunting jackets often have a big button or a pair of buttons and an epaulette to catch and retian the carrying strap of a rifle while walking and climbing.

Re: Epaulets and shoulder holsters?
Since the shirts I have that have epaulets are my cover garments when wearing a shoulder holster, I haven't tried that usage. I could see where you had another cover garment or were OCing it might be useful. But I've never had an issue with my shoulder straps moving around.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Thanks for the history less, Denis. I've got one for my uniform, and I always thought it would look great with a flap holster. Now I know where it came from.Denis wrote:The shoulder strap of a Sam Browne belt goes through the epaulette too.
