Trying to pick a new work holster for a G20...

Either a Raven Phantom concealment style one with a retention screw, or a Bianchi Carrylok, or a thumb break leather one.

It will be my usual, wet, nasty environment - so the kydex gets a plus for cleaning, but I think the bianchi is also available in their laminate material - and leather can be kept up with, in that environment, with regular preservative use.

I get up/down/crawl around quite a bit - hit the ground hard on a depressingly regular basis, and get hosed down w. everything from mix to sanitizer on an even more depressing basis... (Well, not really all that often, now - but, if we have to hire more guys, valves will be mis-set, etc, and things will be sprayed... )

I hit the ground pretty good last spring, and both my pistol (in a Looper Gun leather hybrid) and a mag popped out - not entirely sure it happened, but I think if you get knocked down, and pulled, there's a good chance your gun will come out.

Any suggestions?

G-Codes, and Safariland ALS 6378 are great, but not really concealable... (If someone put a carrylok or ALS system on a Phantom style holster, that would be awesome.)

Evyl Robot made me a gorgeous holster for my G20 in black stingray, but it's definitely not something I'd want to use under those conditions. For more usual CCW duties, I have been using a Dale Fricke Seraphim.

Seems like you need a kydex thumb break.

I looked at those, I couldn't figure out how close they fit the body.

Has anyone tried a Bianchi Carrylok? (At least a couple posters who like them on GT - I might give it a shot.)

A shooting buddy of mine has a Carrylok for his SIG P-220. He quit using it because it DID NOT hold the pistol close to the body. He said he also had problems working the release if he pulled his belt too tight in an effort to get the gun closer to his body. But I have no direct first hand knowledge.
