A friend and I want to start playing with chronographing various rounds.

Any recommendations for one that gives reasonable accuracy at a reasonable price?

Thanks, Chris. Apparently even the prices haven't changed.

Note to self: Always search the Chrisipedia before posting a gear question.

Anyone here had good success with DIY indoor lighting? This puck light solution looks simple. Wonder how well it works. Wouldn't the lights work better above (shining through) the diffusers?

That's reassuring. I was going to suggest getting one that had parts easily obtainable and easily changed. as I forget who here said it, but he said there are two categories of chronographs, those that have been shot, and those that will be shot.
